To be a responsible and sustainable brand, we make certain choices at ZŌE Studio across the whole chain of the product lifecycle.

1. We choose high-quality natural materials, which are biodegradable.

At ZŌE studio we use natural materials, - our shirts are made of 100% cotton. It’s a non-stretch fabric because we decided not to add any polyester to it. We use high-quality interlining which is also 100% cotton. Our materials are certified (OEKO-TEX). Buttons are made from natural shells, not plastic.

2. Product care.

We use innovative fabrics thanks to our fabric suppliers, which makes our products last longer. 30% of the ecological impact is coming from the care of the clothes (washing, drying, ironing).

It is an easy to care fabric, which requires less washing and no need for the dryer, meaningless usage of water and energy, and pollution from the fabric particles during the washing process.

3. Ethical manufacturing.

We produce our garments in a small atelier in Lithuania. We decided to keep the production in Europe and support European tailors.

4. Eco and biodegradable packaging.

Our packaging materials are environmentally friendly, - we use paper and water-based ink to print our logo. It can be easily decomposed.

5. Small quantities production.

The “Made to order” approach means that we produce what our consumer orders to prevent overstock and overproduction.

“We all know what fashion can be: tons of clothes, sometimes even completely new, piled up in mountains, and then sorted by hand and prepared to be destroyed at the waste workshops. If I think about, how many resources - natural and human, are used to produce and then to destroy it all. It does not make any sense. I thought there must be another way to create a fashion brand with a more mindful approach. We need innovations and a change” - Elena, ZŌE Studio founder says.
